Canada’s international friendly against Tunisia was disrupted early after defender Ralph Priso was forced to leave with an apparent injury.
According to match reports, the 23-year-old centre-back left the match in the 26th minute after going down following a defensive challenge during the football match.
Priso had made a clean slide tackle to stop Tunisia’s attack but was left on the ground after the match in visible discomfort.
Medical personnel quickly entered the field to assess him before he was taken off the field. He was replaced by Kamal Miller in the Canadian defense.
The match marked Priso’s first start for the senior national team. He had previously made his debut from the bench in Canada’s recent friendly against Iceland, coming on late in the match.
The Toronto-born defender has also played regularly at club level this season, making five starts for the Vancouver Whitecaps.
There is no immediate update on the severity of the injury, but the early substitution is causing concern for both club and country as Canada continues its preparations for the upcoming matches.
