Chris Hemsworth’s life in Australia now after leaving Hollywood for it

Chris Hemsworth has opened up about why he chose to step away from life in Hollywood, a decision he considers the ‘biggest decision’ when moving to Australia.

The 42-year-old actor says he and his wife, Elsa Pataky, decided to leave Los Angeles shortly after welcoming their twin sons, Sasha and Tristan. Radaronline.

While the family lived in LA, Hemsworth admitted that they did not enjoy the lifestyle, with the constant paparazzi attention and lack of work filming locally.

“We were kind of based in LA and not having fun with it, you know,” says the Thor star remembered. “Like nothing was filming there. We were filming everywhere else.”

As a result, the family moved to a coastal estate in northern New South Wales, Australia, in 2014.

Hemsworth described returning home as a feeling of “vacation,” explaining that their property offers space, privacy and closeness to nature.

“You know, when you get back from work, you want to go on vacation,” Chris explained. The estate provides access to outdoor activities such as surfing, horse riding and motorcycling, introducing their children, including their daughter India Rose, to wholesome experiences growing up.

“For me, coming home is like a vacation. We have a big farm and horses, motorcycles and surfing,” he added.

The move also brought him closer to his roots, with brothers Liam Hemsworth and Luke Hemsworth also choosing to live in Australia.
