Britney Spears’ son has made a subtle identity change following a recent reunion with the pop star.
In a surprising move, 20-year-old Sean has updated his Instagram name with his mother’s last name, now ‘Sean P Spears’ instead of just using his father’s last name, Kevin Federline. TMZ reported.
Before the addition, he was previously called “Sean Preston”. The move comes shortly after he reunited with Spears during a hunting vacation.
In the rare reunion, Sean posed with his mother and younger brother, Jayden James. Although Jayden has been seen with Spears more often, Sean’s appearance is a less common public moment between the mother-son duo.
It was previously suggested that Sean had refused to spend the holidays with Spears last year, causing the singer to be injured at the time. However, recent photos are an indication that the relationship may be improving.
The reunion also comes amid a challenging period for Spears, who was taken into custody on suspicion of drunken driving in California in March before being released the next day. After the incident, sources said both her sons supported her.
Spears later returned to social media with moments showing her family and thanking fans for their support.
