Mel B has addressed long-running rumors that the Spice Girls would reunite for a reunion tour to mark their milestone anniversary.
In her latest conversation with Hello Magazine, the songbird shared her two cents on plans regarding the group’s 30th anniversary. For those unfamiliar, the Spice Girls were formed in 1994 in London, England.
Responding to the rumors, Mel, also known as Scary Spice, claimed that there is no full tour on the horizon.
“I can tell you that doesn’t happen,” she began.
“If so, it will be a shock to me, let’s put it that way,” she added, noting, “You can’t nag everyone to go on tour if they don’t want to. I put that to rest when I turned 50.”
She even mentioned speculation that the group could team up for a Netflix documentary, such as the Take That miniseries.
She said that although all five members have “thought” about being the subject of a documentary charting their rise in the 1990s, no official discussions have taken place before that.
“I think we’ve all been asked it and we’ve all thought about it,” she said.
In conclusion, she noted, “But it has to be done the right way, and it has to be fair – and not everyone wants to be fair.”
