Jennifer Lopez looks back on her ‘RomCom era’ and teases her comeback to the genre.
The 56-year-old actress took to her Instagram account on Friday, April 10, to express her excitement about her upcoming romcom, “Office Romance.”
The new film also marks Lopez’s first starring role in a rom-com following 2022’s ‘Shotgun Wedding’ and ‘Marry Me’.
Reflecting on her “wonderful memories” of “Maid in Manhattan,” her first era of rom-com, Lopez shared, “Some had never seen BTS before on the set of Maid in Manhattan from the incredible @BarryWetcher.”
Along with the gushing note, she also shared throwback snaps from the set of ‘Maid in Manhattan’ as she gave a shout-out to the photographer.
Lopez continued, “So many feelings! What wonderful memories!”
“And now with Office Romance I’m back in my RomCom era. It’s OUR Happy Era!!!” she gushed.
The film is set to release on Netflix this summer, starring Brett Goldstein as Lopez’s on-screen love interest and other actors including Amy Sedaris, Betty Gilpin, Edward James Olmos and Tony Hale.
This came after Lopes teased the upcoming film during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live in October
“It’s not the typical JLo romcom that you’re used to, like the sweet wholesomeness,” she told Andy Cohen. “It’s a bit tacky. It’s like the jokes are small – think more of Knocked Up… [There’s] Something About Mary,” she said, referring to the popular R-rated comedies.
