Finally, the audition for the next James Bond has officially begun after months of wild speculation.
Nina Gold, best known for casting several major roles, has been tapped to find the next 007 agent.
In a statement, Amazon MGM Studios said: “The search for the next James Bond is ongoing.”
“While we do not plan to comment on specific details during the casting process, we are excited to share more news with 007 fans when the time is right.”
According to Variety, it makes sense to bring in Gold to find a new Bond.
She has an extensive resume: from Game of Thrones to casting Daisy Ridley as Rey in Star Wars.
She was also nominated for an Oscar for her casting work in 2025’s Hamnet.
Despite the official confirmation, the rumors about who will be the next Bond have not subsided at all.
For months, fans of the spy thriller franchise tossed different names into the mix, expecting to eventually land the role.
From Jacob Elordi to Callum Turner and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Yet none of them have been confirmed.
Back to the film: Denis Villeneuve will direct, and Amy Pascal and David Heyman will produce, while Steven Knight will write the script.
