Amelia Dimolgenberg celebrates ‘chicken shop date’ for 10 years

Amelia Dimolgenberg marked 10-year anniversary of her uncomfortable unique dating show.

The Chicken shop date Started in the Stowe Center Youth Club in northwestern London, where Dimolgenberg interviewed Grime artists for a column in the magazine The Cut.

Eventually she started filming the conversations, framing them as a “date” and uploading to YouTube.

While speaking to BBC NewsbeatShe spoke about the success of the show made her a celebrity.

“So many people I feel do not understand the history of the show, the journey on which it has been,” says Dimoldenberg. “Some people think it’s two years old.”

Reflecting on the rise of Chicken shop dateDimolgenberg said that the show “The Journey of Digital Media and how that landscape has completely changed”.

“When I started the show -content -makers, they were not at the height that they are now,” she said. “I spent so much time trying to convince publicists, managers and talent to get to the show.”

She remembered that the social media was not seen as the best platform back in time to promote the latest albums, films or products. However, “now 10 years later it is completely the opposite and I get rid of people.”
