Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has filed a complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) with regard to the Indian Fast Bowler Arshdep Singh for supposedly making “obscene” gestures to the crowd.
Sources indicate that the incident took place on September 21, after the Pakistan-India Super Four match in the ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2025, when Arshdep reportedly had inappropriate gestures to the spectators.
In his complaint, the PCB claimed that Arshdeep has violated the ICC Code of Conduct.
According to the complaint, the behavior of the left-arm Pacer was unethical and discredited the game. The PCB has demanded that strict action against Arshdeep is being taken to violate the code of conduct.
It should be noted here that the Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav had already been guilty by the ICC for violating the code of conduct after making comments on the military collision between India and Pakistan after their Asia Cup Group match on September 14, according to September 14 ESPNCRICINFO.
However, the official announcement has not yet been made. The ICC asked Yadav to refrain from political statements in the future while hearing an official complaint submitted by the PCB.
In his complaint, the PCB accused the Indian captain of politicizing cricket and violating the Code of Conduct of the ICC in the field of neutrality.
In the meantime, the PCB has decided to challenge the judgment against Fast Bowler Haris Rauf, who received a fine of 30% of his match costs by the ICC match referee, for his gesture, a Senior PCB officer told Geo News.
While the board and team management were still waiting for an official announcement, it was confirmed that Rauf had been found guilty and punished, the PCB officer said.
“That’s right,” said the civil servant when he was asked about reports about the sanction. He added that the PCB appeals against the decision that Rauf is guilty of breaking the code of conduct.
