Lola Young speaks out after collapsing on stage at the All Things Go Go Music Festival On Saturday.
The incident took place while Young carried out her number 2024 Conceited.
Colleague artist Remi Wolf came on stage shortly thereafter and noticed that the moment was “really damn scary”. “My friend Lola is backstage, and she’s okay,” Wolf added.
Before the incident, the British singer-songwriter had revealed that she had had a “tricky few days”.
“Sometimes life can really give you the feeling that you can’t continue,” she said in a tap video.
“But do you know what? Today I woke up and I made the decision to get here … and sometimes life can throw your lemons, and you just have to make lemonade.”
On Friday evening, a planned performance of Young’s in New Jersey was canceled by her team “because of a sensitive issue”, per Billboard.
Young recently released her third studio album, entitled I am alone. In particular, she shot familiar with her viral hit “Messy” and thought about her new star row in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
When asked what she has taken away from “The whirlwind of the last few months” in her career, Young said: “The craziest thing I take, repeats that I think I think with some form of success, regardless of how big things are for me, you are still the same person and nothing really changes in you.”
