Shakira just declared that she has no time for love.
The Whenever, wherever The singer has been single since her long-term relationship with Gerard Pique, the father of her sons Milan (13) and 11-year-old Sasha, ended in 2022.
She told me The times newspaper: “No romance for me for the time being. There is no room or time for that in my life. My plate is quite full.”
Shakira said, “My children are my priority. And my career. Strangely enough, I am in love with my career like I have never been in my life. I also enjoy my alone time.”
The 49-year-old star reflected on the ‘darkest moment’ of her life when she split from Gerard, at a time when her father William was hospitalized after a serious fall, but she ultimately feels stronger from her experiences.
“[I was living through] the darkest moment – when I saw the dissolution of my family. The family I dreamed of keeping forever,” the Loca crooner said.
She continued, “I’ve been through so much pain, but perhaps in some unforeseen way it has made me a wiser person – or stronger, at least,” adding, “They say what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, and that’s true.” It’s amazing to learn that humans have a resilience that we can call on at any time in our lives.
“Sometimes through hardship and pain we discover how strong we can be. Suffering sometimes makes you a better person, makes you appreciate friends and support,” Shakira explains.
The Beautiful liar Hitmaker also believes that there are always lessons to be learned from hardship, saying: “Life can be ab**** sometimes, but it is also beautiful and made of light and shadows.
“So I thank life for every moment, the bright and the dark, the people who made me suffer because they became my masters who taught me lessons, very valuable lessons,” Shakira expressed sincerely.
Moreover, the Hips don’t lie singer will always be grateful to Gerard for the impact he had on her life.
‘I will always have that gratitude in my heart for the father of my children, and [for] that made me the mother I am today,” Shakira said of Gerard Pique and the time they had together.
