Good news for Batman fans
In addition to the cinematic experience, Batman fans can also have a real dose of fun in the gaming arena.
The latest video game, Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, brings out all versions of the Caped Crusader.
Jonathan Smith, head of the development team at Traveller’s Tales, the company behind the game, explains Variety his idea to take all of Batman out of lore.
“We have a narrative team that leads the design early on,” he says.
“Once the brilliant idea that this time we could tell the whole, definitive story – of young Bruce Wayne through the years and take the player on that journey to become the hero and savior of Gotham City – struck us, we couldn’t let it go.”
He continues, “It’s such a fantastic framework and arc for this game. I don’t think it’s been done before.”
“When you put it all together, the experience is so compelling and it was so exciting to be able to tell that story,” Smith concludes.
