Lisa Ann Walter Shares Excitement About Her New Comedy Show ‘It Was an Accident’

Lisa Ann Walter is excited to receive people’s response to her new comedy special titled It was an accident.

On May 12, the 62-year-old American actress and comedian attended the Disney Upfront 2026 in New York City, where she spoke about her new program, Lisa Ann Walter: It was an accident.

Walter told PEOPLE magazine: “I can’t wait for people to see this side of me. There are a lot of people, especially here in New York. People remember when I started, which was a million years ago, the late ’80s.”

“And the height of the comedy boom, people who were my fellow countrymen came out, Jeff Ross and Dave Chappelle and all these wonderful, talented people. And when I’m in the clubs that are doing it again now, people come up to me who remember me from back then,” she added.

However, many have ‘discovered’ her The parent trap or some of the TV shows she did.

“So finding me as a comic character is new for them, but I’m looking forward to them watching it. It’s a really good show. And it’s funny,” says the Abbott Elementary star shared.

According to Lisa Ann Walter’s set synopsis: “Onstage in a salon-like room, Walter delves into aging, parenthood, family and career pivots with the blunt charm you know from her film work. The special gives her the opportunity to be blunt and personal at the same time, turning the things most people keep to themselves into hilarious anecdotes.”

It is relevant to mention that Ann Walter: It was an accident is currently streaming on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
