Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, mourn for the loss of their beloved family dog, DAMA.
The couple shared the heartbreaking news in a joint Instagram post on Saturday 27 September and placed a moving tribute next to a series of photos of their pet.
The first image showed Alec, 67, who kept both dogs of the family on the table of a veterinarian, while other Snapshots Hilaria, 41, 41, cuddling Dogs spent moments with the family.
The caption was: “Rest in peace, sweet Dama. You have brought so much joy in our lives … You were that dog that slept on my pregnant belly.”
Although they did not mention DAMA’s age, the Baldwins noted that she had lived ‘a long and happy’ life.
She will continue writing: ‘I know you are running [through] Fields and eating all the cookies you want. We are sad but grateful that we have had you in our lives. ‘
The loss of the family comes during a busy moment for Hilaria, which is currently competing in season 34 of Dancing with the stars.
During the episode of September 30, Alec and their seven children were seen in the front row and cheered her.
Alec and Hilaria, who married in 2012, share three daughters, Carmen, 12, María, 4 and Iilaria, 2 and four sons, Rafael, 10, Leonardo, 9, Romeo, 7 and Eduardo, 5. Alec is also father of Ierland Baldwin, 29, his daughter Kim Basinger.
