Princess Kate will visit Anna Freud, a children’s charity, at Kensington Palace on Thursday, November 27.
The Princess of Wales is a patron of the charity, which aims to fund research and treatment for children’s mental health. Kate has already visited the charity a few times, including during Mental Health Awareness Week in 2023.
This comes after Kate’s Early Years Center announced a new project that will see them invest £100,000 in research into how parents can tackle distractions caused by digital gadgets.
A week before these big announcements, the Princess gave an impassioned speech at the Future Workforce Summit, urging business leaders to prioritize “time and tenderness” alongside profit and success. She also argued the importance of stable and nurturing relationships for a child’s healthy development.
Kate has been a patron of the Anna Freud charity since 2016. The organization is a leading evidence-based research center and aims to help young people reach their full potential while providing support for their families.
Meanwhile, Kate also shared a message on November 24 to support those struggling with addiction. The mother-of-three shared a post on Instagram and wrote: “Proud to be a patron of the Forward Trust during this Addiction Awareness Week. Addiction is not a choice or a personal failure, but a complex mental health condition that needs to be tackled with empathy and support.”
