‘Stranger Things’ crashes Netflix servers after season five

Netflix goes off air for more than 20 minutes as ‘Stranger Things’ S5 goes down

Millions of fans open Netflix at the same time to watch Stranger things season five when it drops.

As a result, the streamer crashed.

According to Fault reportusers who signed up to watch the new episodes received the message on the screen: “Something went wrong. Sorry, we’re having trouble with your request. There’s a lot to explore on the homepage.”

The site noted that the outage “began at approximately 5:01 PM and ended at approximately 5:23 PM, and lasted approximately 22 minutes.”

The crash of the Stranger things The season five premiere marks the first time the streamer has experienced an outage since July.

Netflix, in turn, confirmed the outage and was telling The cover, “Some members briefly experienced an issue streaming on TV devices, but service was restored for all accounts within five minutes.”

In other news, creator Ross Duffer shares that fans will need to disable these settings on their TVs to experience the show optimally.

“A little PSA before you watch tonight. I want to make sure your TVs are set up properly,” he wrote, adding. “Whatever you do, don’t set anything to ‘vivid’ because that will turn on the worst offenders. It will destroy the color, and that is not the filmmaker’s intention.”

Stranger things season five, part one, is streaming on the platform.
