JayDon Howard McCrary, who goes by JayDon, recently got candid and revealed how he felt about working with R&B star Usher.

For those who don’t know, the 18-year-old aspiring R&B singer has accepted the deal from Usher and LA Reid’s label Mega.

JayDon has also dropped his debut EP Me, my songs and me, that is causing a stir among music lovers.

During a conversation with PEOPLE magazine, the Los Angeles native talked about 2025, as it was full of surprises, and also reflected on the collaboration with the 47-year-old American singer-songwriter and dancer.

“This collaboration is extremely meaningful to me, but I think it’s also meaningful to the world because Usher has never done anything like this before – he’s never collaborated like this with a young black artist who is the same type of artist as him,” he said of his collaboration with Usher for the Lullaby remix, which will be released on Friday, December 12.

“I was the second artist to sign. There are only a few of us, so everything we do feels completely new. I love that we are creating something so original,” says the American soul star shared.
