Kim Kardashian has filed a new lawsuit after emotional problems.
As fans will know, a man named Ivan Cantu, based in New York, sued Kardashian in February because she allegedly began posting photos of him on social media while planning to post photos of a Texas man of the same name who was convicted of murder in 2001 and sentenced to death.
Nevertheless, a judge sided with her in November by dismissing all of Cantu’s claims.
Now, according to the latest report of We weeklyIn a new filing on Tuesday, December 16, Kim Kardashian demanded the man cover her legal bills, including $145,000 in legal fees and other costs she spent on lawyers to defend herself.
It has been reported that Kardashian’s lead attorney, Emil Petrossian, charged $900 per hour on the case, while another associate, Alina Gatto, made $600 per hour.
Kardashian’s lawyer explained: “[Kardashian] was instrumental in advocating for Mr. Cantu.”
“Over the course of approximately ten days in February 2024, [Kardashian] and her team posted a series of “stories” about Mr. Cantu – about sixteen in all – on [Kardashian’s] Instagram account. Of these sixteen stories, one story posted two days before Mr. Cantu’s execution incorrectly used an image of the plaintiff in this case, a New York-based project manager whose name is also Ivan Cantu.
