Leighton Meester discusses what makes her marriage to Adam Brody stable.
The actress revealed that she loves the kind of person her husband is and spends much of her marriage admiring his personality.
“It’s so funny, because someone asked me that the other day, and I thought, ‘I wish I had the answer.’ [but] I think liking each other and getting along is a big part of that,” the 39-year-old actress told People in an interview published Saturday.
“It’s kind of on a basic level what it’s about. Just saying, ‘I really like this person,'” Meester added of her husband of 12 years.
“I think being with another person and knowing that they’re going to be imperfect and they’re going to challenge you, and that you’re far from perfect, it’s [important]she told the outlet, adding that it’s also key “to always keep an open mind and be willing to work on yourself.”
This comes as Adam paid a heartfelt tribute to Meester after he won the 2025 Critics Choice Award for his role in the Netflix series ‘Nobody Wants This’.
“Thank you for sharing this life with me and this journey with me. Thank you for our family. I love you with all my heart,” he said at the time in a video shared online by the Hollywood Reporter.
