Jason Biggs recently talked about learning an important comedy lesson from Eugene Levy American pie.
For those who don’t know, Levy played Noah Levenstein, the father of Biggs’ character Jim Levenstein in the film American pie franchise for almost 13 years.
American pie 2 is still considered one of the most memorable films of the late 1990s and early 2000s raunchy comedies.
While giving an interview to ParadeBiggs shared, “One lesson I’ve learned from the American Pie films, and especially from my brilliant costar and second father, Eugene Levy, is, you know, the ‘Eugene Levy School of Comedy’ is to do your best to be grounded.”
He further admitted that what made the franchise a great success was a sense of reality even in its wildest moments.
“As tense as the circumstances are – in American Pie we’re obviously doing crazy things here in this film, the whole concept is quite sophisticated and there are some shocking moments – but the goal for me was always to try to keep it as subdued, contained and as grounded in reality as you possibly can, because then you can take those chances elsewhere,” Biggs explains.
