The new luxury house is called Fenty after Robyn Rihanna Fenty, the full name of the superstar born in Barbados, who has all her own very successful Fenty Sportswear and Savage Lingerie Labels.

“I couldn’t imagine a better partner, both creative and business, and I am ready for the world to see what we built together.”

Rumors have been on the fact that LVMH owns iconic brands such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Fendi and Givenchy, a group of top designers for the project assembled.

On Friday Arnault confirmed the rumors and said that LVMH had built up a “talented and multicultural” team to support the newest brand in Rihanna.

Despite its dominance, LVMH has not started a luxury brand in 1987 since Christian Lacroix.

Fashion insiders say that the first creations for the new line of Rihanna will probably be revealed later this month.

Her Fenty Beauty Operation-Die also a connection with LVMH accounted for the turnover of more than $ 100 million within a few weeks after the launch of 2016.

“Everyone knows Rihanna as a great singer, but through our partnership at Fenty Beauty I discovered a real entrepreneur, a real CEO and a great leader,” said LVMH’s Arnault in a statement.

Rihanna is not the only POP icon that has become a fashion industry player. Beyonce, who has her own Ivy Park and House of Dereon labels, drew a deal with German sportswear giant Adidas last month.

It already has a deal with rapper Kanye West, who has his own Yeezy brand and has not made it a secret of his ambition to lead a large fashion house in Paris.

The fashion industry Bible Women’s Wear Daily has speculated that the luxury brand of Rihanna could be launched next to her ninth album.

The singer teases the release of her long-awaited follow-up of her double platinum 2016 album “Anti” for months.

She told a BBC television chat show last June that she was working in the studio and her best friend Jennifer Rosales said in March that the album was ready.

Black designers have lately set dramatically in the fashion industry, with the American Virgil Abloh the most discussed designer during recent fashion weeks of Paris.
