Despite his death, Jeffrey Epstein, a notorious sex offender, still pursues people associated with him.
But Brett Ratner, known for directing the Rush hour franchise, denies any connection to him after his snap with the disgraced pedophile surfaced in new documents released from Epstein’s files.
To make matters worse, two unidentified women were also seen in the photo, while at the same time Epstein was running a sex trafficking racket to recruit underage girls for sexual gratification for him and his very wealthy friends.
But Ratner strongly denied any wrongdoing; he gives his version, he says Fox News that he went with his girlfriend to the party of the deceased financier at her invitation.
“About 20 years ago I had a girlfriend, I was in love with her, we were engaged, she was my fiancée, we went to an event and we sat on the couch and that’s where the picture was taken.”
He clarifies that he had no personal relationship with Epstein; In fact, Ratner adds that he didn’t know him, and he can’t remember when the photo was taken.
“I had no personal relationship with him, I didn’t know him. And that’s where the photo was taken. I didn’t even remember. Because in the past I was asked, ‘Do you know him?’ and I’m like, ‘I don’t think so,’ because I didn’t have a personal relationship with him.
However, Ratner shares that one of the girls in the photo was his then-fiancée.
“My fiancée invited me to that event,” he continued. “At that moment, the girl in the picture is my fiancée. And that’s it. You’re thrown into these things, it’s crazy, it’s horrible.”
It’s worth noting that the photo in question did not indicate any wrongdoing by Ratner, who is enjoying a career resurgence after recently directing the documentary on First Lady Melania Trump.
