Christian Bale has weighed in on his time The Bride!.
As fans will know, the 52-year-old actor played Frank as Frankenstein’s monster in Maggie Gyllenhaal, new view The Bride of Frankenstein.
In a recent interview with Entertainment weeklyBale reflected on how an emergency response shouting session turned into an unexpected bonding experience for the film’s cast.
Recalling the painful process of spending hours in the make-up room, Bale said: ‘I was screaming like crazy every day. [release the] despair, all that restraint you have to show when you sit still for so long….”
“I didn’t want to do it while driving to work because I thought I might cause an accident. And I didn’t want to do it alone because I thought everyone would think I was going crazy.”
It is notable that the daily routine of Christian’s desperate outbursts was slowly adopted as the HMU departmentsT and other people on set came to the makeup trailer alone to participate in Christian’s daily ritual.
He added, “Oh man, I’m telling you, towards the end the whole crew got involved because people would hear us screaming.”
“We would open the doors, and gradually, kind of like the Bride revolution, some people asked, “Can we do it too?” And by the end there were like 30 people who heard us and ran to the makeup trailer to be part of it and scream too,” he continued.
Nevertheless, he later defined it as a “great bonding experience.”
