Teyana Taylor has opened up about her relationship with Julie Roberts.
After meeting for the first time at the 2026 Golden Globes Awards, Taylor admits that she and Roberts became “instant” friends.
Speak with People magazine, the One battle after another actress also revealed that she was impressed when she met Roberts.
Taylor said, “Everyone knows I love Julia Roberts.”
I added, “I’m obsessed with her. And she was on the carpet at the same time I was on the carpet, but it was the part where all the videos and stuff happened, so we weren’t in front of cameras.”
“They brought her and I looked, and I started backing up and my eyes were watering and she came closer,” Taylor also said. “And I said, ‘Don’t come an inch closer.’ And she came closer, and then I dove into her arms and it was just so amazing.”
She noted, “We were like instant best friends.”
Taylor admitted she cried during the sweet moment and also revealed the support she received from Roberts as she received the Best Supporting Actress award for her role in One battle after another.
“She stood up when I won and I just dove into her arms again, and it was just so amazing,” Taylor said of Julia Roberts.
Teyana Taylor added, “So yeah, she’s my best friend in my head even if she doesn’t know it.”
