Conan O’Brien addresses Rob Reiner’s tragic death after explosive clash at Christmas bash

Conan O’Brien speaks about the tragic death of Rob Reiner after an explosive duel during a Christmas party

Conan O’Brien finally broke his silence on the murder of friend Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer.

“It’s just so terrible,” the 62-year-old TV presenter told the BBC New Yorker. “And I think about how Rob felt about the things that were happening in the country, how involved he was, how much he put himself out there – and for that voice to be silenced in an instant is still hard for me to comprehend.”

Reflecting on his relationship with Rob and his wife, Conan said, “I knew Rob and Michele, and I was getting closer to them, and I saw them a lot.”

“My wife and I would see them often, and they were so – they were just such lovely people,” he added. “And to have that experience of saying goodnight to someone and letting them leave and then finding out the next day that they’re gone… I think I was in shock for a long time after that.”

For those unfamiliar, Rob and Michele were found unconscious in their home on December 14th. Later that evening, the couple’s son, Nick, 32, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

Afterwards, reports indicated that Rob and Michele’s deaths occurred after an argument with Nick during Conan’s Christmas party. Nick is now being held without bail.
