Aaron Paul has moved to Europe for a fresh start following the deadly California wildfires earlier this year.
Seeing the devastation in LA, the Break bad star and his wife Lauren sold their house, packed their bags and moved to Paris with their two children.
“When the LA fires happened, we just knew we were done with LA, so we sold our house in LA and moved to Paris,” Paul, 46, told the Daily mail during an F1 Grand Prix event in Las Vegas on Friday, November 21.
The Bojack Rider alum explained that he and Lauren — who got married in 2013 in a Paris-themed Malibu wedding — “always dreamed of spending a year abroad” and “wanted to be in a completely different culture.”
But what ultimately pushed them to make the move was their children: daughter Story Annabelle, 7, and son Ryden Caspian, 2.
“We went there for the kids,” Paul admitted. He called Paris a “great” city and is in no rush to move back to the US
The Pauls’ lavish home in the Los Feliz neighborhood of LA, California, was first put on the market in July for $10 million, according to People magazine. Known as the Seyler House, it was previously home to many other celebrities, including Tim Curry, Robert Pattinson and Kim Parsons.
In a statement with People at the time, Paul called the home a “safe haven for my family” where they were “lucky to have experienced so much life over the years.” He added: “We will forever hold this house and its history close to our hearts.”
