Adele vibing to Dua Lipa during the Radical Optimism tour is driving fans wild

Adele sent fans into a frenzy after she was spotted vibrating in the crowd during Dua Lipa’s Radical Optimism tour in Los Angeles.

The British pop icon made a rare public appearance during the Levitating singer’s fourth and final show at the Kia Forum on Wednesday, October 8. Shortly after the concert started, fan-made videos surfaced on social media – and one clip in particular had the internet buzzing: Adele grooving to Don’t Start Now.

It didn’t take long for fans to explode with excitement over the unexpected crossover. “If Adele sings your song, you don’t need a Grammy – you were baptized through singing,” said a user on X (formerly Twitter).

Another fan called it “a full-circle moment”, writing: “Adele singing Dua Lipa is one powerhouse hypnotizing another. British pop keeps winning when it’s women supporting women rather than competing.”

Others agreed with equal enthusiasm:

“Adele listening to Dua like that is honestly such an iconic crossover.”

“Adele vibes to Dua Lipa? That’s pop royalty cheering on pop royalty.”

“Absolute perfection.”

“True British Excellence.”

Adele’s appearance on the show marked a rare public outing following her announcement of an indefinite hiatus from music. The 16-time Grammy and Oscar winner wrapped up her Las Vegas residency on Nov. 23, 2024, and told fans she needed time to rest.

“My tank is pretty empty,” she said at the time. “You won’t see me again for an incredibly long time.”

While she may be stepping away from the spotlight, moments like these prove that Adele is still very much aware of – and supportive of – the next wave of British pop stars.

She told fans that she needed a rest after performing for almost three straight years, explaining that her “tank is pretty empty” and that she wouldn’t see them for “an incredibly long time.”
