Adrian Grenier has finally broken his silence over not being included in the sequel to The devil wears Prada.
For those who don’t know, Grenier stars in the 2006 American comedy film as Nate Cooper, the boyfriend of Andrea “Andy” Sachs, played by Anne Hathaway.
The 49-year-old American actor will not return to reprise his role in the iconic film The devil carries paragraph 2, while Andy has a newfound love interest in the sequel shown in the trailer.
On Friday March 13 he had a chat with We weekly about being rejected The devil carries paragraph 2, which shows that he never received a call from the makers.
Grenier expressed his thoughts, saying, “I would be bitter if I wasn’t so excited for Anne [Hathaway] and the crew, and are also enthusiastic about the sequel. I’m a fan of the movie, so I’m looking forward to seeing the sequel,” adding, “So yeah, I mean, I was obviously disappointed [to not return]but you know, I can’t be there for everything, you know?
The Entourage Star commented, “I mean, Andy’s moving up, and you know what, I get it. Nate’s the devil, according to some people.”
Even though Grenier is not included in the upcoming sequel, he still hopes “at least they invite me to the premiere, come on!”
This interview with him comes especially after he publicly talked about his “disappointment” in a conversation Page six.
He said, “We’re all fans of the movie, whether we’re in it or not. It was obviously a disappointment that I didn’t get the call to be in the sequel, but I also understand that there’s some backlash with Nate, the character, so that might have something to do with it.”
“But I think this just leaves room for a spinoff. Either way, it’s a disappointment. Anyway, it leaves room for a great spinoff where Nate has his own movie,” Adrian Grenier admitted.
Before concluding, it is worth mentioning that The devil carries paragraph 2 will be released in theaters on May 1, 2026.
