Aimee Lou Wood opened about how to impress as a child helped her to get out of her shell and make contact with people.

The 31 -year -old actress unveiled in an interview with Radio time Magazine that she was very shy grow up, but often created her own world at home.

“I always made impressions,” she said. “I was very shy, but I would talk to myself privately and dress in wigs and create my own little mini universe. It gave me calm.”

The star admitted that she rarely used her real voice because she preferred different accents, characters and even her thoughts.

According to Aimee, this habit eventually gave her the confidence to talk to others and make friends. “Suddenly I could talk to people and find friends. It is how I learned to express myself,” she explained.

The White Lotus Star also shared that she once felt busy being ‘normal’, but later found comfort to be different.

She said that her favorite characters and people she admired were never used to us. “When I grew up, I felt a deep need to be ‘normal’, but then I realized that all my favorite people, all the people I admired, were weird, even my favorite characters, such as Jane Eyre,” she said.

The actress added that acting helped her to embrace her expressive face and changed how she saw beauty.

Earlier this year, Aimee revealed her ADHD diagnosis and said it allowed her to see her condition as a ‘super power’.
