Andrew Garfield has made a surprising admission about this Harry Potter series!
In a recent radio interview, the Spider-Man actor admitted that he only recently watched Harry Potter for the first time.
Garfield praised the main cast, saying, “Daniel is so damn good. To be honest, I hadn’t seen the Harry Potter films until recently.”
“He’s really good in those movies. Those Harry Potter movies are really good,” he added.
However, Andrew Garfield stopped short of naming franchise creator JK Rowling, saying she “shall remain nameless.”
The actor said: ‘I know it’s controversial and we shouldn’t be putting money into the pocket of inhumane legislation at this point through her, who will remain nameless, but the soul and the spirit… the essence of the themes of those films and the children and the artisans and the artisans.’
She added: “I work with an amazing make-up artist, Claire, who worked on the creatures… you can’t throw the baby out with the bathwater.”
“There are so many wonderful artists who worked on those films. I have a newfound appreciation for all the artists,” Garfield noted of the franchise’s cast.
This comes as the Harry Potter franchise prepares for a new chapter, with a television adaptation currently in development.
