Andy Cohen talks about where he draws the line when it comes to Bravo stars.
During his appearance on the October 29 episode of Call her daddyhost Alex Cooper asked Cohen if he had ever dated anyone from the Bravo universe.
The producers and on-air personality immediately shut that down.
“Never,” he said. When Cooper asked if it was a personal rule, Cohen explained that even he knows there are limits.
“I think even I understand the rules of the game there, as far as that goes.”
He admitted that there were a few cast members he found intriguing over the years.
“There have been a few where I thought, ‘Well, that would be interesting,’” Cohen said, but added that acting on them would “probably — especially at this point — be unwise.”
Cooper agreed and encouraged him to hold his ground and “not screw it up.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Cohen spoke more openly about his dating life. He said he goes on “some dates,” but things have changed since he became a father.
Cohen has two children, daughter Lucy, 3, and son Ben, 6, both born via surrogate.
Dating, he said, now falls into two categories: “people I want to sleep with and people I want to date.” Ideally, he looks for both. He added that he uses “every app” and doesn’t have one specific physical type.
“It’s really about the atmosphere,” he explained, preferring partners who are smart, independent and confident.
Cohen also noted that the few people he has met through Raya are usually not watching Watch What Happens Live or The Real Housewives. When he goes out, he doesn’t feel pressured to put on a show.
“I wouldn’t try to impress anyone. They would want to be with me or they wouldn’t,” he said.
While fans may be curious about his personal ties within Bravo, Cohen made it clear that mixing business with romance is not on his list, and likely never will be.
