Apple to roll out hypertension detection on smart watch after FDA nod

Apple will unveil the latest hypertension detection function in its smartwatch from next week, after the approval of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Thursday, Bloomberg News reported.

Apple and the FDA did not immediately respond to Reuters’s requests for comment.

The company unveiled a blood pressure monitor in its latest Apple Watch on the event of September 9, where it also introduced a renewed iPhone -Line -Up, including a slimmer iPhone air.

The position, awaiting approval of the regulations, will not detect any case of high blood pressure, but could warn about a million people, Apple said.

Available in 150 countries, the Tool will use data from the optical heart sensor of the watch to keep track of how the blood vessels of a user react to heart rate for 30 days, according to the report, with reference to Apple.

The function will be available at the Apple Watch Series 9, Series 10, Series 11 and its more expensive Ultra 2 and Ultra 3 Smartwatches, Bloomberg News said.
