Robert Irwin and Xochitl Gomez sparked romance rumors with their latest move Dancing with the stars.
Gomez, who returned to DWTS For the show’s 20th anniversary episode, join Irwin on the dance floor as part of a dance relay that helped him earn two bonus points.
According to the Swoon magazineAfter the performance, judge Derek Hough commented on their “chemistry”, which caused a stir among fans when they started shipping them.
Fans took to X, with one person writing: “ROBERT AND XOCHITL?!?!! I KNOW CHEMISTRY WHEN I SEE IT!!!”
“If I can’t get Robert Irwin, the only acceptable person who can get him is Xochitl,” another user commented.
Gomez in conversation with Entertainment tonight shared her feelings about returning to the ballroom.
She said she is “excited” and happy to have “the best partner to dance with tonight.”
Gomez raved about her dance partner, Irwin, and said she admires his energy.
“We had a rehearsal without Witney [Carson] because they were filming something special, so it was just Robert and I for three hours,” she recalls.
Gomez added that Carson might have taught Irwin a few steps “because he was drilling me.”
She said: ‘He said, in the nicest way possible, he said, ‘I think you should like it a little more.’
Gomez and Irwin took on Alix Earle and Joey Graziadei in a Jive Reley. Although the judges had a hard time determining the winner, the duo ultimately won.
