Aryna Sabalenka has become WTA Player of the Year for the second consecutive season after holding the top spot all year, as announced by women’s tennis’ governing body.
Sabalenka dominated the 2025 season, with the Belarusian tennis star not only defending her US Open title but also securing her position in nine tournaments.
The 27-year-old finished second at the Australian Open and Roland Garros and reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon.
Sabalenka’s achievements include 63 wins throughout the season, along with four winning trophies.
Considering her impressive journey as she retained the year-end number one ranking for the second season in a row, Sabalenka also set a new WTA season record with $15,008,519 in prize money.

Amanda Anisimova was named Most Improved Player and won her first two WTA 1000 titles in Beijing and Doha. She also qualified for the WTA final for the very first time, taking fourth place.
Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend secured the Doubles Team of the Year award. Belinda Bencic was named Comeback Player of the Year.
19-year-old Canadian Victoria Mboko was named Newcomer of the Season after ranking 18th in the world.
