Bad Bunny’s appearance at the Super Bowl halftime show is over. But the ripple effect is at a fever pitch, as the Latin singer’s show moved people in several ways.
Jennifer Gray, the star of Dirty dancingillustrates this example. The Puerto Rican musician’s performance inspired her so much that she named her dog after him.
“I first connected with @badbunnypr in 2022. Suffice it to say… I was shocked. Ten days ago this little guy showed up and stole my heart,” she wrote on Instagram, uploading a photo with Bunny.
The star continues: “Meet Benito, a name inspired by the wonderful and soulful #BenitoBowl, a powerful celebration of love unity and joy #BenitoBowl #loveismorepowerfulthanhate.”
In the meantime, Grey, best known for playing Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman in Dirty dancingwill star in the film’s sequel, but Lionsgate postponed the release date due to the 2023 Hollywood strikes.
About the theatrical release, Gray previously said: “I can’t tell you much about Dirty Dancing as I’m not going to make any promises. I’ll just wait until they really get the hang of it because it has to be right.”
It is worth noting that Dirty dancingreleased in 1987, won an Academy Award for Best Original Song for the film’s song I’ve had it.
