Ben Affleck is reportedly focused on his future and family, despite the sting left by Jennifer Lopez with the end of their marriage.
Although Affleck has been cautious about falling in love again after his second divorce, a source told Star Magazine that the Gone girl star now wants to develop other areas of his life.
One tipster said his break from dating is a conscious choice rather than a defense mechanism because “he has enough on his plate with his job and kids.”
It’s notable that Affleck shared Violet, 20, Finn, 17, and Samuel 13, his children with ex Jennifer Garner.
Furthermore, he now wants long-term stability and is focusing on building his new studio with his good friend Matt Damon.
“He has his eye on the real prize, not the next random actress who catches his eye.”
This comes after Jennifer Garner opened up about how she and her ex-husband Ben Affleck are juggling parenthood with their busy schedules.
Additionally, Garner told Bustle host Charlotte Owen that she sometimes has to play dual roles in her children’s lives because of their father’s separate household.
“I think the father of my children does that too. Especially when your children grow up in two separate households, I become father and mother and he becomes father and mother.”
“You can’t do anything about it, right? Because you don’t have the benefit of both sides of the yin and yang being in the same house,” she added.
“There’s a little bit of loss in that, but there’s also something in that,” the actress noted.
“You also just learn. It made me let go and no longer concentrate so much on raising children,” she concluded.
