Benson Boone had to cancel the Birmingham show at the eleventh hour

Benson Boone had to cancel his show in England due to a health crisis.

Just an hour before they took over the stage at the Utilita Arena Birmingham on Saturday, November 1, the Beautiful things hitmaker revealed he is suffering from voice problems and illness.

Taking to his Instagram Stories this weekend, the 23-year-old American singer-songwriter issued a heartfelt apology to concertgoers after exhausting all options to heal his voice.

“Birmingham, I’m so sorry but I can’t perform tonight,” he wrote. “I have done everything I can to revive my voice, but with my throat condition I cannot now give you the show I would like to give you.”

“This is really the most crappy feeling, I’m so sorry,” the Grammy-nominated pop artist added, assuring that the rescheduling will happen as soon as possible. “I promise I’ll do everything in my power to make it right.”

“I will keep you updated as soon as possible. Thank you for all you do. I love you so much,” he concluded the disappointing yet disturbing announcement.

The In the stars singer is currently on the international leg of his tour in support of his second studio album American heart.

After pulling out of his Birmingham show at the last hour, he is yet to confirm whether his upcoming London dates will go ahead as planned, followed by shows in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and, finally, the United Arab Emirates.
