Billy Crudup opened up about the moment he knew his now wife Naomi Watts was the one.
In a recent chat on SiriusXM‘S Let’s talk off camera with Kelly Ripathe 57-year-old actor reflected on the time he met Watts while they were filming the new 2017 Netflix series Gypsy.
“Obviously the pressure of doing these types of shows can reveal a lot about how someone navigates their life, professional life, personal life, etc.,” Billy replied to Kelly when she asked when he fell in love with Naomi.
“We just had a lot in common,” he noted.
Billy then listed the traits he observed in Naomi when they were on set together.
“And her way of managing the set, the crew, the writing and the other actors was unusual. She’s an incredibly hard worker, but has crazy resilience and is also very compassionate to the other people who work around her,” Billy said of Naomi.
“Normally you can be very generous because you don’t care that much, you don’t work that hard. You can be available on set because you have other things to do.” [Or] You can work very hard and put so much pressure on yourself that you make the people around you unhappy,” he further explained.
The duo later got married in 2023.
