The legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni over harassment during the filming of It Ends With Us is far from over.

According to the latest report from PEOPLE MagazineThe case has made a significant development as the actress’ legal team has sought sanctions against Justin Baldoni’s defense for “misconduct during the deposition.”

The legal documents say Lively was questioned about her sexual history and showed a “fundamental lack of decorum” during depositions by Baldoni’s attorneys, citing the rape shield law.

This law is reportedly intended to protect survivors of sexual abuse or assault from being questioned about their sexual history in court.

“During discovery, multiple attorneys insisted on making oral objections, often in statements they did not defend, and took time to demean and reason,” wrote Lively’s attorney, Michael J. Gottlieb.

Additionally, they claimed they asked opposing counsel to quit in a September 29 letter citing “inappropriate and unprofessional conduct.”

At the time, they wrote: “Ms. Lively’s sexual and/or romantic history has no bearing on the issues at issue in this case and we will not tolerate such an investigation.”
