Brad Pitt is reportedly facing a new lawsuit amid his ongoing winery battle.
As revealed by Radaronline Pitt is being sued by Brandon Palas, the founder of men’s wellness brand Beau D. According to Palas, Pitt’s skin care line Beau Domaine infringes on his trademark.
The outlet obtained the documents showing that Pitt and his business partners originally launched the skincare line under the name Le Domaine before changing the brand name.
Palas told the outlet that before filing suit, he attempted to resolve the dispute, saying, “We have offered Beau Domaine three private settlement options in good faith.”
“(One) that they rebrand; (Two) that they compensate us for the right to continue operating as they are while offering us the opportunity to meaningfully differentiate our brand; or (Three) that they fund our rebranding efforts,” he added.
This comes as the Oscar winner has been embroiled in a year-long legal battle with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie over their shared French winery.
Furthermore, sources believe that Brad Pitt has become increasingly cautious about business partnerships due to the ongoing battle. In fact, he is said to be more cautious when it comes to involving his girlfriend, jewelry designer Ines de Ramon, in his business.
The source said: “Brad’s history is crystal clear. When he’s in love with a woman, he almost instinctively goes into business with her.”
He added: “It’s exactly what Brad does. And when these relationships break down, it costs him a lot of pain, time and energy to untangle the finances.”
“She is an extremely talented designer with a very good sense of marketing. So he often asks her to give an opinion, but it is strictly informal,” they concluded.
