Bardot’s death was announced on Sunday by the animal rights organization with a tribute to the Hollywood actress.
“The Brigitte Bardot Foundation announces with enormous sadness the death of its founder and chairman, Madame Brigitte Bardot, a world-renowned actress and singer, who chose to give up her prestigious career to dedicate her life and energy to animal welfare and her foundation,” the statement said.
