Britney Spears recently shared subtle reactions following the publication of ex-husband Kevin Federline’s shocking details from his memoir.
The Toxic crooner writes a cryptic caption alongside a photo of the bottom of the ocean, asking her follower to choose their family wisely and honor them, but not at the expense of their integrity.
“Honor your mother and father, but always protect your heart,” the singer said in the caption.
Britney added, “Only honor them if they have sacredly honored you! If not, find a new family.”
The post came hours after Kevin, with whom the singer shares two sons, dropped an excerpt from his upcoming memoir: You thought you knew.
Britney’s former husband claimed how the singer watched their sons sleep while holding a knife.
“Sometimes they would wake up in the night and find her standing silently in the doorway watching them sleep – ‘Oh, are you awake?’ – with a knife in her hand,” he wrote in a passage published in The New York Times on October 14.
“Then she turned and walked away without explanation,” it said.
Kevin expressed his concerns about the singer’s condition, saying: “From where I sit, the clock is ticking and we are approaching the eleventh hour.”
“Something bad is going to happen if things don’t change, and my biggest fear is that our sons will be left holding the pieces,” he noted.
Meanwhile, Britney’s rep responded strongly to Kevin’s allegations.
“Now that the news of Kevin breaking the books has happened, he and others are once again taking advantage of her, and unfortunately this comes after Kevin’s child support ended,” the rep said while speaking to E! News.
The singer’s rep stated, “The only thing she cares about is her children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism.”
