Britney Spears’ social circle believes she is a lost cause and serious action is needed following her new legal drama.
In a recent report by We weeklyan insider revealed her team’s deep concern about her condition and belief that the pop star will learn her lesson and end up in a better place.
“Her team wants her to go to rehab or get into a program to help her get to a better place,” an insider said We weekly.
“Everyone around her is hoping this will be a wake-up call for her,” the source added.
For those unfamiliar, the singer was taken into custody in California on Wednesday on suspicion of driving under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs near her home.
Fans noticed that Spears’ Instagram account had been deactivated just hours after the arrest was made public.
An insider shared that this kind of behavior is not something new, and that the 45-year-old singer has been acting out lately due to long hours of loneliness.
“This behavior has been going on for months but has gotten worse recently,” an insider told the publication.
Additionally, Spears’ rep shared Us in a statement on Thursday, calling the singer’s actions unacceptable and speculating that this would be the turning point in Britney’s life.
“She is alone a lot at home, which causes her to make bad choices, such as drinking. She is home now and then [her son] Jayden is going to spend time with her to keep her company,” the insider continued.
The source added: “Britney is very upset but doesn’t really understand the implications yet.”
