Goalkeeper Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 17 saves.
The Sabers took an early 2-0 lead in the first period, but the Rangers responded with three unanswered goals in the first two periods to take a 3-2 lead.
New York’s Alexis Lafreniere scored twice, while Adam Fox added a goal and an assist.
Despite the effort, the Rangers had already been eliminated from the playoffs.
Buffalo turned the game around in the final period when Alex Tuch tied the score early in the third before Zucker put the Sabers ahead again minutes later. Benson sealed the victory later.
