Calvin Austin departs Steelers to sign one-year contract with New York Giants

Wide receiver Calvin Austin has agreed to a one-year contract with the New York Giants after leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers.

According to ESPN, Austin signed a deal worth up to $4.5 million, confirmed Thursday by his agents Drew Rosenhaus and Kyle Lincoln to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Austin’s move comes after the Giants lost wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson in free agency. Robinson joined the Tennessee Titans this week, following former Giants head coach Brian Daboll, who now serves as the Titans’ offensive coordinator.

Austin spent three seasons with the Steelers after being selected in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Despite missing his entire rookie season due to a foot injury suffered during training camp, he subsequently established himself as a speedy and versatile receiver.

In the 2025 season, Austin recorded three touchdowns and 372 receiving yards on 31 receptions.

The former Memphis standout has racked up 84 receptions for 1,110 yards and eight touchdowns in his three NFL seasons.
