Camila Morrone raves about women who defy social norms and embrace motherhood in their 40s.
While speaking to Poter magazine, the 28-year-old American-Argentine actress and model opened up about playing Countess Ellen Olenska in an upcoming Netflix series adaptation, The age of innocence.
Morrone expressed her thoughts, stating that the entertainment world is “expanding” its doors to women and that she began to notice these changes after choosing the role of Olenska.
She revealed that she is “a feminist by nature” who questions “things – like the idea that there is a time clock for women, that you have to meet it or you lose everything” as well as “tradition, conformity, what is expected of us.”
The Night manager The star further emphasized that “we are trained to fear growing older, especially in Hollywood.”
However, she now feels that “the possibilities are only expanding. I love that the norm can now be for new moms in their 40s. I want to completely break with what we think we know. And be pro-woman at all costs — it really is that simple,” Morrone joked.
Notably, Camila Morrone is currently dating Cole Bennett after ending her famous five-year relationship with Leonardo DiCaprio in 2022.
It is relevant to mention that The age of innocence doesn’t have a release date yet, as Netflix announced the series in April 2025, with production starting in Prague in late 2025.
