Carrie Underwood has broken her silence after being met with loud rejection American Idol.
During Hollywood Week: Music City Takeover episode of American Idol season 24, the Two black Cadillacs crooner was booed by the live audience.
Underwood playfully embraced cheeky mockery and responded sharply; However, her strong but constructive criticism of the participants did not go down well with the audience.
She said in the episode, “They just like to pick on me.”
Luke Bryan, her guy American Idol judge, took a stand to defend her because one boo lasted far too long.
“She only won this. She knows it,” he told the crowd, referring to her win in American Idol season 4. Bryan’s interference calmed the audience down a bit, but they didn’t stop teasing her completely.
Underwood boldly told them, “You will not be included in the discussions.”
Particularly after Idol hopeful Mor performed an original song during his audition for “Music City Takeover,” the cheering was extreme when the moment of evaluation arrived.
She informed Bryan about it and said, “They’re going to cuss me out. You’re going to cuss me out. You’re going to cuss me out.”
“It’s coming. Bring it on. I love it! Your boos fuel me,” the singer-songwriter clarified.
Speaking to X (formerly Twitter), Underwood clapped back at booers, writing, “Boo me. I don’t care.”
