Catherine O’ Hara has left a permanent hole in the comedy industry with her death.
The comedy legend passed away on January 30, 2026 at the age of 71.
Now a new report from RadarOnline.com said the tragedy has left Schitt Creek fans hopeless for a revival.
“There’s no Schitt’s Creek without Catherine,” an insider tipped. “And no one is interested in doing anything else.”
As fans will know, speculation about a possible reunion of the show has been in the air since the show ended its five-season run in 2020.
“[O’Hara’s] Moira Rose wasn’t just a character,” a source explained. “She was the soul of the show. The rhythm. The magic.”
They further emphasized that the show’s star-studded cast, including Annie Murphy, Eugene Levy and Dan Levy, agree that the show cannot go on without O’ Hara.
Another insider doubled down on the rationale, noting that “it would feel wrong” to hope for a second installment of the show without the matriarch.
They concluded: “Honestly? Disrespectful.”
