The 33 year old pop superstar attended the star-studded premiere of Hamnet at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles, along with other famous art lovers.
The upcoming film is already much celebrated by first-time viewers and has earned Oscar predictions from renowned media outlets.
Steven Spielberg, the film’s producer, praised the truly ‘special’ director Chloe Zhao, who brought Maggie O’Farrell’s award-winning book to the screen at the premiere.
The Jurassic Park filmmaker defended Zhao for making a film that doesn’t just aim to be a blockbuster and fun for viewers, but rather tells a life-changing story that needs to be told.
Speaking to the press after the screening, Alwyn described the film as “a beautiful story” about love, adding: “It’s painful and sad and heartbreaking, but it’s full of so much love and the power of love and the power of art and healing.”
The Apples hitmaker was one of the special guests who graced the event, and her presence was even more notable due to her ongoing drama with The brutalist actor’s ex-girlfriend.
