Chris Hemsworth is happy with his decision to move his family to Australia.
In a recent chat on the Smartless podcast that aired on February 23, the father of three admitted that moving from Los Angeles to Byron Bay was one of the “biggest decisions” of his life.
“It was right around the time my boys were born and we were kind of based in LA and not enjoying it, you know?” Chris revealed. “For example, nothing was filmed there. We were filming everywhere else.”
One of the main reasons for leaving the city was the invasion of privacy by paparazzi.
“And then we came home and [there’d be] paparazzi and all kinds of trappings of life in that space,” Chris added.
It is pertinent to mention that Chris shared daughter India Rose and twin sons Sasha and Tristan with wife Elsa Pataky.
Now Chris lives a peaceful life with his family in Australia.
“Did you know that when you get back from work, you want to go on vacation?” Chris said about life in the country. “Like coming home, it feels like a vacation to me. We have a big farm and horses and motorcycles and surfing.”
“We lived about 20 minutes from the main suburbs of Melbourne, high in the hills. And the nearest neighbor was a kilometer or two away. It was just all bushland and rainforest around us,” he added. ‘And we would just do that [have] outdoor adventures and play different characters.”
