Chris Pine admits he has no idea about the new ‘Star Trek’ movie

Chris Pine just insisted he knows nothing about a new one Star Trek film.

Last year it was announced that Paramount Pictures had acquired the film Dungeons + Dragons: Honor among thieves filmmakers John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein will write and direct a new installment in the beloved science fiction franchise, nine years after the release of the last film Star Trek Beyond.

However, the 45-year-old actor, who played Captain Kirk in three films between 2006 and 2016, has not been approached to take part.

When asked about the project at the Variation studio presented by Audible at the Sundance Film Festival, he said: “You probably know more than I do.”

But Chris urged those involved in the new film to “have fun” with the series, adding: “Advice? Have fun, good luck, live long and prosper.”

Earlier this year, Simon Pegg admitted he would be “so happy” to play Scotty again after playing the role in three films.

Speaking on a panel at STLV: Trek to Vegas 2025, he told fans: “JJ [Abrams] has always said that scripts are being developed and this and that. I think it’s time. It would be great to see us where we are today ten years into the five-year mission.”

‘If we make another one Star TrekI’ll be so happy because I just want to see my friends again. I see them every now and then,” Simon said, going on to say, “They all live in Los Angeles. I saw Zoe [Saldaña] this year, which was lovely. I saw Karel [Urban] a few times while I was at it The boys. But I miss Chris [Pine] and I miss Johan [Cho]. We have been through a lot together.”

“We’ve been through good times and bad times. And I would love to hang out with those guys again,” he concluded.
